ONE Lowndes is my vision for a safer, stronger, and more united Lowndes County.

For too long, our law enforcement agencies have operated in separate lanes. It’s time to bring everyone together — not to take control, but to create cooperation. ONE Lowndes unifies resources, intelligence, and specialized units so every community in our county benefits from the same level of protection.

This initiative includes collaboration between:

• Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office  • Columbus Police Department  • Caledonia Town Marshal Department  

• Artesia Town Marshal Department  • Columbus Municipal School  • Future Partner Agencies Across the County

A county-wide Special Weapons and Tactics team made up of qualified operators from every participating agency.

This unified SWAT team ensures consistent training, shared equipment, stronger manpower, and a faster, more effective response to critical incidents — no matter where they occur.

Drug trafficking and illegal firearms don’t stop at jurisdictional lines — and neither should our response.

The ONE Lowndes Narcotics Unit brings together the narcotics investigators and resources from all participating agencies into one coordinated team.
